"Until the framework is released, we are really not able to take action as a dis- trict. At this point, our teachers are align- ing our curriculum and assessments to the Common Core State Standards, and when the English Language Arts framework is released, we will begin the process of incorporating that information into our programs," said Jennifer Tedford, BHUSD Chief Academic Officer. State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards for English language arts in 2010, and the new English Language Development Standards in 2012. This new ELA/ELD Framework is aligned to those standards. The Board last approved a framework in this area in 2006. Judaism for 'Beginners' Beth Chayin Chadashim will hold a Jewish education program next month.
