ea Dianna Weiner 's Dishes It seems like only yesterday that eveN- one was so concerned about the effects of the calendar year moving from t999 to 2000 We all survived without any diffi- culty. And nov,', it is hard to believe that we are quickly approaching 2001. Like Sonny and Cher wrote in their old song, "and the beat goes on." The month does not matter, the year does not matter, ever)one still likes to dine out Some of the girls from Buyers Service went to Trattoria Amici for a farewell dinner for their co-worker, Renate Stielhack. Renate was the wife of Kurt Stielhack, the late General Manager of the Regent Beverly Wilshire, and the Four Seasons Hotel. She is moving to Carlsbad to begin a new and exciting life. Joining Renate for dinner were Gloria Silverman, Wendy Nelson, Faye Iranpour, and Yaira Coffer. They had a glass of wine, a deli- cious dinner, and many laughs. Michael Libow was at a nearby table on the patio. Evy and Herb Rappaport love II Sole and consider it their kitchen annex. Last week when they Were there, they did some table-hopping. First: they stopped to say hello to Bridget and John Martens (he's the GM of Neiman Marcus), and then they greeted Rikki and Fred Rosen. Evy says that every time they are at I1 Sole, they always see people that they know. Nancy and Norm Sloan, Rochelle and Jeff Boren, and Andrea and Bob Mohr recently dined at Linq. BIRTHDAY GREETINGS Barbara Revci was treated to a birtt- da) lunch at La Scala by her friends Joanna Kermani, Helene Boston, Ronnie Auslander, and Myra Demeter BIRTHDAY WISHES Moyra Cowley traveled across th "pond" from Innerwick, Scotland, to ce- ebrate her 76th birthday with her tamity at Prego in Beverly Hills. Traveling with Moyra and helping her celebrate this big birthday were her husband, Victor, her son, Marcus, and his wife, Paula, and her daughter, Jane, and her husband, Chris. Moyra's other daughter, Wendy Nelson, who lives in LA, also joined in the cele- bration. Wendy said that the food was great and that her morn was thrilled to spend her birthday with all of her chil- dren. BIRTHDAY HUGS AND KISSES Four friends always celebrate their birthdays together at their favorite spot, The Lobby Lounge in The Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Joining Adella Adelman for a belated birthday dinner were Libbie Olen, Marjorie Shapiro, and Dorothy Wright. OUT TO LUNCH Barry Berkett and Glen Stevens eat lunch together every Thursday. Last week they ate buffalo burgers at the Back Door Caf& By the way, Barry says that buffalo burgers taste great and they are a healthy alternative to beef because they contain less fat! Lona Stone treated her friends, Le Doux Kesling and Lynette Mauro, to lunch at the bustling Azia. They said that the service was friendly, the lunch was amazingly light, and it was served in a comfortable environment. Le Doux is a wonderful, talented stylist who works at the Nick Chavez Salon on Burton Way. BLOWING OUT HER CANDLES Eva Brown recently celebrated her birthday with her closest friends from the Beverly Hills Public Library. They enjoyed a delectable catered lunch at the gorgeous, newly remodeled home of Yaei Hecht. DI SPY Shirley MacLaine and Shelley Fabares were at separate tables at The Valley Inn.
