Project Description: The Children's Library contains approximately 12,000 sf and is located within the existing Beverly Hills Library. The Children's Library will be closed for the renovation while the remaining portions of the library remain open and in full operation. Some of the features of the newly renovated Children's Library will consist of a children's theater with spe- cialty woodwork, a special collections room with custom graphic wall finishes, and a cove vaulted ceiling through the main space. The work consists of demolition of the existing in- teriors including restrooms, walls, ceilings, ducts, remaining furnishings, and other portions of the building The renovation consists of the construc- tion of new interiors, walls, ceiling, floor finishes, duct work, specialized built-in furnishings, and new relocated restrooms, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. The quality of the woodwork, drywall, floors and other finishes is expected to be especially high, The current estimate is approximately $5 million.
