Dianna Weiner Dianna's Dishes Our days are so hectic with oh so man) decisions to make: yoga or spinning. Weight Watchers or Adkins', Costco or Gelson's. Hawaii or the Caribbean. Do not make eating a big decision: just go to your favorite restaurant for a wonderful meal. Joanne and Mark Levy were enjoy- ing pizza, as usual, at The Rainbow. Seated in a nearby booth were Judy and John Melnick and Sue and Larry Cohen. Maria and Michael Kantor took their kids, Anthony, Kimberly, and Alex, to Woo Lae Oak. Michael's niece and her husband, Alana and Jeff, joined them for dinner. Cathy and Michael Barry were enjoying each olher's company and din- ner at Ii Fornaio. Linda and Mike Maman and Erica and Alex Lowy thought that the food was delicious at The Buffalo Club. Betty and Chuck Wilson were joined by Harriet and Bruce Hockman and Donna EIIman Garber at DaVinci. Arlene and Henry Gluck were in the mood lot out- standing Chinese cuisine, so they went to Xian. Sitting at a nearly table were Fran Cey, Donna Gindy. and Ellen Pagliano. who were enjoying a rare girls night out. Vicki Mense, who is not only a great restaurateur, but a great person as well, owns Xian. Ann and John Nickoll took their cousins, Lynn and Larry Sanders, to Mr. Chow. Lynn and Larry were visiting from Chicago. Isabel Bronte, who looks absolutely fabulous following back surgery, and Harry Fox, dined at Brasserie des Artiste. Isabel highly rec- ommends this bistro and says that they are really trying to please! OUT TO LUNCH Andrea and Rick Grossman say that Mimosa serves wonderful lunch- time salads in a comfortable atmosphere. Each table offers a large jar of olives, which Andrea looks forward to digging into. Hildy Hill, Linda Tyrer, and Karen Sulzberger love to stop into Debbie's Bistro on Little Santa Monica. Ann and Herin Schullz were at Waiter's. BIRTHDAY GREETINGS Marilyn Ziering celebrated her birthday at a festive, gourmet luncheon at The Four Seasons Hotel. hosted b) Irma Colen. Dvorah Colker, and Janet Salter. Also present in the private dining room were Virginia Maas, Judy Miller, Fran Myman. Barbara Ravin. Natalie Roberts, Millie Hersch, Batya Malick, Marjorie Pressman. Bel Ostrow, Deanie Levine. Ruth Lehmann. and Hana Wcxler. Dale Schatz provided piano and guitar music while the ladies feasted on a pyramid salad of Portabello mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted eggplant, Mozzarella. and Pesto Vinaigrette, followed by a chilled poached salmon plate. The dessert was a Filo Basket filled with berries and a fabu- lous chocolate truffle birthday cake. BIRTHDAY WISHES Henry Urick, Vice President of Marketing at Tribune Entertainment, cel- ebrated his birthday with Annie Foster Merrifieid at Celestino on Beverly Boulevard. They both agreed that the steak at Celeslino was the best thai they have ever eaten anywhere in the world! The steaks are brought in from Ohio and the fat content is less than skinless white meat chicken. BIRTHDAY NEWS Maud Adams celebrated her birthday with her husband, Judge Charles Rubin, at Lunaria, where they dined and enjoyed the jazz. They love the ambiance at Lunaria and the shows are always out- standing. SHE'S A WINNER Cathy Greenly ran and completed her first LA Marathon last Sunday! And she did this in the pouring rain.
